Save The Dress

This wedding dress and a few other wedding items experienced soot and smoke damage after the home they were stored in caught fire due to a lightning strike. The homeowners wanted SERVPRO Of Mesquite to come out and restore the property and clean their wedding dresses. When we arrived on site, our technicians removed the smoke and soot from the affected areas by doing a complete wipe down of the ceilings, walls, and other affected materials. We then cleaned, sanitized and disinfected all of the restorable items and the structure so the homeowner could return to a pre-fire condition home. We took the wedding items to another SERVPRO franchise who uses an Esporta washing machine to restore items. The patented Esporta Wash System uses hydraulic pressure to force proprietary detergents and disinfectants through the items being cleaned forcing the contaminants out.  Unlike a traditional washing machine where items are tumbled and agitated, the Esporta Wash System can hold items in place and pushes them through the detergent water. We were able to restore the home and wedding items to pre-conditions which made the homeowner a very happy customer.
